TYPES OF MOUNTS: Vertical blinds that are inside mounted will have a deduction of approximately 0.4" to ensure a proper fit within the window frame. A minimum frame depth of 2.4" is required for secure installation when mounting inside. If the window frame depth is less than 2.4", it is recommended to select an outside mount. Outside mounts are commonly used when there is not enough frame depth for inside mounting. Our window shades come with all necessary mounting hardware for both inside and outside mounting options.

MEASURING FOR INSIDE MOUNT: Step 1 involves measuring the inside frame width at three locations - the top, middle, and bottom. Record the smallest measurement and deduct 0.4" when ordering to determine the inside width. Step 2 requires measuring the height at the left, middle, and right sides. Record the smallest measurement and deduct 0.4" when ordering to determine the inside height.

MEASURING FOR OUTSIDE MOUNT: Step 1 consists of measuring the outside frame width and adding 8" to determine the outside mount width. Step 2 involves measuring from 2.4" above the top window frame to either 0.4" above the ground for a French window or 4" below the bottom window frame for a windowsill window when determining the height.

OPENING OPTIONS: Choose between single opening or opposite opening when placing an order. Single opening blinds can be adjusted to open either to the left or right after installation. If you prefer an opposite opening configuration, contact customer service for assistance.

ORDER CONFIRMATION: We can customize vertical blinds down to a 1/16th inch. After ordering the closest size, we will email within 24 hours to confirm window information. Please respond within 48 hours to confirm adjustments. If we do not receive a response, the blinds will be made to the size ordered without additional adjustments.
